Villaviciosa, Spain's apple capital, celebrates its International Apple Day from 13 to 23 October with a cultural, educational and gastronomic programme around apples and cider. There is a CIDEREU photography exhibition at the Casa de los Hevia, the home-made cider contest final on 18 October, school activities on 20 and 21, an interactive sensory installation on the 21st and the "Manzanas con Ciencia" workshop on the 23rd at 19:00, free entry until full.
