Caso 137 is the police thriller that swept the 2026 César Awards, earning eight nominations and the Best Actress award for Léa Drucker. She plays Stéphanie, an Internal Affairs officer investigating the serious injuries suffered by a young man during a particularly tense protest in Paris. What starts as routine paperwork turns personal once she discovers the victim comes from her own hometown. Drucker is joined by Guslagie Malanda, Jonathan Turnbull and Mathilde Roehrich in this French production, which also screened at Cannes and the Seville Festival. The screening, in French with Spanish subtitles, takes place on Saturday 31 October at 7pm at the Paraninfo de la Laboral, part of the Laboral Cinemateca line-up curated by the Gijón/Xixón Film Festival (FICX). General admission costs €4, reduced to €3 for members of Club Cultura Asturias, Pasaporte Cultural, the Uniovi community and Carnet Joven Asturias at the box office; the venue offers on-demand hearing accessibility.
