Peñarrubia is a small beach very close to the city of Gijón, just east of San Lorenzo along the coast. It is the city's nudist beach and has a very local, almost neighbourhood feel.
Made of sand and gravel and with barely any services, it's quiet and low-key. It's recognised as a naturist beach, though clothed and unclothed bathing mix without any fuss. Ideal for a simple dip away from the bustle of the main beach.
