This is Gijón's most iconic walk. It starts at La Escalerona, runs along the entire San Lorenzo promenade and climbs Santa Catalina hill, crowned by the Elogio del Horizonte.

It's flat almost the whole way, only rising at the end, with the sea always by your side. A must at sunset.

What to see & do here

  • Walk the seafront Paseo del Muro
  • Climb Santa Catalina hill
  • Finish at the Elogio del Horizonte
  • Do it at sunset

  • It runs 1.5 km flat along the sea before climbing the Santa Catalina hill.
  • It ends at the foot of the Eulogy of the Horizon, one of the best viewpoints over the bay.
