Workshop de manipulación de fuego con Martin Bertrand

📍 Circo Bajo el Tejado, C/ Gerona 8, Gijón

Four hours of hands-on practice to get close to fire without fear and with a clear head. Martin Bertrand leads this fire manipulation workshop in Gijón, organised by the circus school Circo Bajo el Tejado. No previous experience is needed: you start from scratch.

We begin with the basics, how combustion works, how heat spreads, which fuels are used and how each one is put out, and then move on to playing with the flame: contact with the skin, fire eating, extinguishing with the hand, the mouth and fire mops, fire transfers, bodytrail, advanced vaps and tricks, fire foam and fire spitting. Safety runs through the whole session.

Registration includes materials, the theory on paper and a certificate of participation. Places are limited and booking is by email at [email protected]: the deposit is €25 and the ticket costs €85 until 11 October and €95 from 12 to 23 October, with registration open until 13:00 that day or until places run out.
