Taller nocturno de observación de polillas
📍 Gijón · View on map
Moths pollinate as much as daytime butterflies and hardly anyone stops to look at them. This night workshop at the Atlantic Botanical Garden invites you to stay after dark, set up a simple reflective trap somewhere in the garden and watch and identify on the spot the specimens drawn to the light.
The session is rounded off with a talk on the diversity of moths in Asturias: the main families, how to tell them apart and the role they play as pollinators. It is led by Laura Torrado Blanco (ADAPAS), who holds a PhD in Biology.
The activity is for adults aged 18 and over, with twenty places and a price of 10 €. It runs from 8 pm to 11.45 pm and requires advance booking.
