Rutas a la berrea Asturias 2026
📍 Centro de Recepción de Visitantes, Nava · View on map
We invite you to experience one of the great spectacles of Asturian nature: the deer rut (berrea), the roaring with which stags mark their territory and challenge their rivals during the mating season, in late September.
The Nava hunters' association (AGRUDECA), together with Nava Town Council and the Mancomunidad Comarca de la Sidra, organises guided routes into the Peñamayor massif on 18, 19, 25 and 26 September 2026, departing at 16:30 from the Centro de Recepción de Visitantes in Nava, lasting around four hours. There is also a scheduled outing in Teverga on 26 September at 7:45.
The activity is free, but places are limited and booking in advance is essential. We recommend wearing suitable clothing and footwear and bringing binoculars, and bear in mind that travel is done in your own vehicle along unpaved tracks.
