Meraki Cía. brings to Laboral an exploration lab for families combining contemporary dance, free movement and body percussion. The starting question is simple: how do I communicate through the sound of percussion and the movement of my own body? From there, the workshop invites participants to play and explore the natural qualities of movement, impulses and sounds, first individually and then as a group, weaving a network of communication between peers.

Meraki Cía. is a performing arts company of Asturian origin also based in Mexico, focused on researching contemporary and urban dance alongside other art forms. Since 2017 it has been an associate company of Espacio Escénico El Huerto in Gijón, and its work has been shown at festivals such as FETEN, Camino Escena Norte and Danza Xixón.

The workshop takes place at Laboral, meeting at reception, and lasts two hours.
