The Escuela de Comercio screens "El olor a leche quemada" (The Smell of Burnt Milk), November's fiction film in the series organised by Gijón's Centro de Imagen, with free entry until the venue is full.

Milk has long been a poorly profitable product, and agriculture is going through difficulties that are forcing more and more family farms to close. Against that backdrop, Katinka holds on to the family business: she's training in agriculture and looking for her future in a place where people still remember how things used to be.

Directed by Germany's Justine Bauer, the 2024 film screens in its original language with subtitles and runs for 78 minutes.
