«Whiplash» (USA, 2014, 103 min), by Damien Chazelle, follows Andrew Neiman (Miles Teller), a young and ambitious jazz drummer obsessed with making it under the demands of a relentless teacher. It is screened in the original language with Spanish subtitles as part of the «Jazz in November» strand of El Cine del Centro, on Tuesday 10 November at 7:00 pm at the El Llano community centre. Admission is free until the room is full, so it is worth arriving a little early. A good excuse to enjoy cinema with your neighbours without leaving the neighbourhood.
