Berrea del venado en la sierra de peñamayor - 18 septiembre
📍 Oficina de Turismo de Nava · View on map
In late September, the Comarca de la Sidra organises guided outings to watch the deer rut ("berrea") in the Sierra de Peñamayor, one of the most striking natural spectacles of the Asturian autumn. The activity, run by the Nava hunters' association (Agrudeca) together with Nava Town Council and the Mancomunidad Comarca de la Sidra, sets off from the Nava Tourist Office.
The route requires travelling by private vehicle along unpaved tracks, so suitable clothing and footwear are recommended, along with binoculars if possible, to make the most of the stags' roaring during the rutting season. As places are limited, booking in advance is required.
