The Villa de Xixón International Bagpipe Festival marks its 26th edition from 3 to 9 August 2026, with concerts, parades, workshops and children's activities across venues in central Gijón: Parchís, Plaza del Marqués, Plaza Mayor and more. Bands from Scotland, Galicia, Brittany and Mallorca headline a week of traditional music that culminates on Friday with the Interceltic Parade and International Gala, and on Sunday with the closing Folixa Intercéltica.
