Mieres' Parque Xovellanos opens the 13th edition of Ochobre Folk, a festival devoted to traditional Asturian dance and music. Friday's programme starts at 7pm with a bagpipe band gathering and a parade, continues at 9pm with a popular 'espicha' cider feast (20 euros, booking via WhatsApp), and leads at 10pm into the Nueche en Danza ('Dance Night'): an evening of traditional dance with an open stage, featuring groups such as Bandina la Villa, Fitiriteres, Collainos, Otramiente and more.
