Teatro Jovellanos hosts, on Saturday 26 September, the benefit concert of TunaEspaña's 32nd Juntamento, the annual gathering of the international association of former university tuna musicians. Gijón will host the meeting on 25 and 26 September, closing with a performance in aid of Fundación DAF, which has worked since 2004 to improve living conditions for people in developing countries. TunaEspaña is an intergenerational association bringing together over 800 tuna members spanning eight decades, now graduates, doctors and professors who keep the tradition of university tuna music alive, with members in Spain and countries such as the Netherlands, Italy, Japan, China, Mexico and Argentina. The concert starts at 19:00.
