A hands-on introduction to plant-based cosmetics in which every participant makes their own body gel for tired legs and takes it home. Along the way you learn the basics of simple, safe cosmetic formulation, which is what lets you repeat it later without surprises.
The session highlights plants traditionally used in cosmetics for their cooling, soothing and toning effect: horse chestnut, butcher's broom, calendula, witch hazel and aloe vera, all common in preparations for circulation and leg comfort.
It is led by Isabel González, from the Máyikas phytocosmetics lab, an Asturian brand founded by a pharmacist specialising in dermopharmacy, phytotherapy and formulation, with its own workshop in Gijón. For ages 13 and up, twelve places, 10 €, booking required.
