Spirits of New Orleans Gospel Choir (SONOGC) were born and raised in New Orleans' 9th Ward, the neighbourhood that forever shaped their understanding of music. Wherever they perform they carry the Second Line rhythm, the funky pulse and the R&B sound that defines the gospel of the city of songs, and they bring it to Teatro Jovellanos.

The group began its professional career in the mid-1990s, recording its first album, 'Take Me, Use Me', with the label Rampart Street Music, which also produced its latest work, '9th Ward Revival', a nostalgia-filled tribute to the world before Hurricane Katrina. Throughout their career they have shared stages with major names on the international gospel scene.

A concert that blends emotion, history and the unmistakable energy of New Orleans.
