Renfe opens its El Berrón (Siero) maintenance base to the public on Saturday 24 October as part of Train Day events. You can see how trains are inspected and repaired and learn about the latest maintenance technology; it is the only base in Asturias taking part. Visits run in groups between 10:00 and 13:00, and registration on Renfe's website before 20 October is mandatory.
