Otoño en el botánico

📍 Jardín Botánico Atlántico de Gijón · View on map

Autumn is one of the best times of year to visit Gijón's Atlantic Botanical Garden: ochre and red foliage, leaf-strewn paths, ripe fruit and mushrooms turn every walk into a small spectacle. This season's programme, illustrated by Juan Hernaz with a nod to René Magritte and Tamara de Lempicka, brings together a cider tasting, a weekend devoted to pollinators with ADAPAS, bird-watching walks with the Carbayera del Tragamón collective, the garden's reading club and its monthly talks series 'De charla con el Botánico', which once a month moves into the city centre. In September the garden also reopens its doors to the Asturias Volunteering Platform, hosting the 1st Volunteering and Business Forum and the 3rd Volunteering Meeting. Workshops for adults and family activities run throughout the season, closing out with the Samaín festival, Calabazas y Calaveras.
