Catalan company La Taimada, led by Olga Álvarez and Jordi Cabestany, brings OPUS to the stage, a dance-theatre piece that puts the female body at the centre of the gaze to explore beauty, fragility and the stereotypes attached to femininity. The show grew out of a creation residency at Carme Teatre, received a grant from the Generalitat de Catalunya and previously played at Antic Teatre in Barcelona.

This performance comes to Gijón as part of the 24th RED Alternative Theatres Circuit, which tours independent venues across Spain with unconventional stage work. It takes place at Espacio Escénico El Huerto, with tickets priced at 12 euros through taquilla.com.
