On Sunday 9 August at 11 pm, Poniente beach comes alive with a concert by Omar Montes, one of Spain's most successful artists in recent years and a leading figure of so-called 'urban flamenco'. His music fuses flamenco with trap, hip hop, reggaeton, reggae and EDM, continuing a tradition of blending Afro-American rhythms with flamenco roots. A free night to dance by the sea, part of Gijón's Semana Grande 2026.
