📍 Museo Villa Romana de Veranes · View on map

In collaboration with the Música Antigua Xixón festival, Gijón's Archaeological Museums present a cycle of medieval music throughout July at the Roman Villa of Veranes. The opening concert, by Músicos de Urueña, takes us through "Three cultures in medieval Spain", recreating through song and instruments the religious celebrations, troubadour recitals and musical evenings shared by Jews, Muslims and Christians on the Iberian Peninsula. The free cycle, with no booking required, continues with concerts on Fridays 17 and 31 July at 7.30pm, lasting about an hour, and is part of the Verano a la Romana programme alongside Teatro en Veranes.
