Macbeth

Macbeth, by Giuseppe Verdi, comes to the stage of Oviedo's Teatro Campoamor as part of the 79th Opera Season, with Jorge Nelson Martínez in the title role, Paulina Bielarczyk as Lady Macbeth, Alejandro Baliñas as Banquo and Francisco Cruz as Macduff.

The opera adapts Shakespeare's tragedy about the unchecked ambition of the Scottish nobleman Macbeth, driven by a prophecy and his wife to murder King Duncan and seize the throne, at the cost of his sanity and his lineage.

We recommend this performance to anyone looking for one of the great tragedies of the Verdi repertoire: five performances in November, including the Opera Fridays cycle date.
