The Teatro Jovellanos presents La verdad ('The Truth'), the comedy about infidelity and relationships written by French playwright Florian Zeller, in this version directed by Juan Carlos Fisher — who also directed Zeller's La madre and El padre — and starring the popular actor, screenwriter and comedian Joaquín Reyes. Miguel is a compulsive liar surrounded by friends and family who, in turn, also lie to him. His wife, Laura, suspects he's cheating, and from there, lies become everyone's way of solving everything. After several attempts to hide the truth, Miguel even convinces his lover that lying is the only way to hold love, marriage and daily life together. But does Miguel really know the truth he's living in, or is he as tangled up as everyone else? An intriguing game of lies among four characters, on Saturday 28 November at 20:00 at the Teatro Jovellanos in Gijón.
