La Guardia are one of the classic names of Spanish pop-rock, formed in Granada in the early 1980s and fronted ever since by Manuel España. With anthems like "Mil calles llevan hacia ti" and "Cuando brille el sol", the band marked several generations before splitting up in 1997 and reuniting in 2003. In 2026 they celebrate four decades on stage with the "Ruta 40" tour, a career-spanning show coming to Teatro Filarmónica in Oviedo with the band's current line-up: Manuel España, Javi Cano, Jean Louis Barragán and Paco Villamayor.
