The Ibiza-Catalan duo L'arannà brings their show Turmarí to Teatro Jovellanos, a sonic journey through the musical traditions of Ibiza and Formentera that blends synthesizers and keyboards with traditional instruments and aesthetics inspired by the ball pagès folk dance. Weaving together tonadas and cants redoblats, some rescued from sound archives and others newly composed, the group builds a story about the roots of two islands that go far beyond the tourist paradise most people imagine. A reinvented take on popular music, part of Gijón City Council's Encaja2 series, perfect for fans of world music and sonic experimentation.
