Marcha Gijón Respira - Homenaje a Alejandro Catrain

📍 Jardines del Náutico, Gijón · View on map

The Federación de Asociaciones Vecinales (FAV) organises the second edition of the Marcha Gijón Respira, a citizen march for accessibility, health and sustainable mobility that this year pays tribute to Alejandro Catrain, a leading figure of the neighbourhood movement and activist with the Unión de Discapacitados del Principado and Cocemfe.

The march sets off from the Jardines del Náutico on Sunday 4 October at 12.00 noon and is open to any way of getting around: walking, running, cycling, on a scooter or in a wheelchair, regardless of age or physical condition. The aim is to reclaim public space as a place for community life and to remind everyone that improving accessibility benefits the whole city.

Registration is free: the first 500 people to sign up receive a commemorative T-shirt and are entered into several prize draws, including a bicycle, an electric scooter and Emtusa bus passes.
