📍 Polideportivo de Riañu, Langreo · View on map
Eight Asturian clubs and around 500 athletes turn the Riañu Sports Centre into the venue for the first Ciudad de Langreo Handball Tournament, organised by Club Balonmano La Calzada. Over the weekend of 26 and 27 September, some 40 matches are played across 24 teams in the under-14, under-16 and under-18 categories, both men's and women's, alongside an inclusive handball team.
On Saturday play runs from 10:00 to 20:00 and on Sunday from 10:00 to 15:00, rounding off with two senior fixtures: La Calzada against Las Lobas in the women's category and Codema versus Vetusta in the men's. The tournament has the backing of Langreo Council's Sports Department and aims to prepare teams for the new season while giving the sport a boost in the town.
