Roberto Torres, dancer and choreographer behind Compañía Nómada, presents «Frágil», his most personal piece, a work of contemporary dance and physical theatre about the ageing body as political territory. Through silence, trembling, bolero, cries and, finally, stillness, the piece traces a journey towards the self as contested ground, steering clear of any comfortable take on growing old.

Original music is by Romanian artist Alex Catona, who previously worked with Torres on 'MAGMA: Concierto para dos cuerpos'. The show comes to Gijón on Thursday 3 September at 8:30pm, at the Espacio Escénico El Huerto, with tickets from €12.
