The opening day of the International Bagpipe Festival starts at 18:00 with the opening of the "Canteros del Soníu - La Gaita de la Oliva" exhibition, followed at 19:30 by a talk and guided route with its creators, Paz and Fernando Oliva, starting from the Casa de los Hevia. At 20:00, the opening parade by the Banda Gaites Villaviciosa-El Gaitero, and at 21:00, the free opening concert by BEO, with Erwan Menguy, Yoann An Nedeleg and Martin Chapron. The night closes with a folk jam session at the Caleyina Les Indies bar, at 23:00.
