Fiestas de San Lorenzo de Fano. Cena de cordero a fartucar y verbena
All-you-can-eat lamb dinner and a verbena with Duende and a DJ to open the Fano fiestas.
The Gijón parish of Fano celebrates its Fiestas de San Lorenzo from Saturday 8 to Monday 10 August, three days of tradition, music and good food organised by the local fiestas committee. Saturday opens with an all-you-can-eat lamb dinner (cordero a fartucar), followed by a verbena with live band Duende and a DJ. Sunday, San Lorenzo's day, brings mass, a vermouth session with live music, a paella and entrecôte lunch, children's games and a tute and parchís tournament. Monday, the Día Grande, closes the programme with mass, the traditional bollu handover, a traditional dinner and a verbena with La Resistencia and a DJ. For bookings and information about the lamb dinner and the rest of the events, the fiestas committee can be reached through its social media and by phone.
