Fiesta mayor de peón 2026 (50 aniversario)

Peón, in Villaviciosa, marks 50 years of its Fiesta Mayor with a special edition running from 28 August to 2 September. It's organised by the Sociedad de Festejos de Santiago de Peón, mixing sport, a craft market, food and music for all tastes.
Friday's chupinazo leads into Festiprau, an 80s-and-90s throwback night with Fernandisco, DJ Dani Vieites and DJ Pitu. Saturday brings the IV Peón Trail, with 21km and 13km routes plus a kids' race, followed that night by the Gran Costillada a la Estaca (€25). Sunday sets up the Red Artesanas del Norte craft market, homemade fabada and the II Rural Prix. Monday has homemade cider and tortilla contests, Tuesday a football triangular and a tute-and-parchís championship, and it all wraps up on Wednesday with the Gran Merienda Campestre and fireworks.
