The Asturias International Trade Fair (FIDMA) returns to Gijón's Luis Adaro fairground from 1 to 16 August. Founded in 1924 and organised by the Chamber of Commerce, it is the big event of the Asturian summer: over 700,000 visitors explore its 160,000 square metres of pavilions and open-air areas every year. The offering is multi-sector: technology and industry novelties, car exhibitions, a food showcase with Asturian cheeses, cider and local produce, a children's area with activities for the little ones, talks and conferences, plus home and DIY stands. A plan that blends business, leisure and tradition, and works just as well for a family day out as for a day with friends.
