The Escuela de Comercio hosts "La memoria de las mariposas" (The Memory of Butterflies), December's fiction film in the series organised by Gijón's Centro de Imagen, with free entry until the venue is full.

María, a woman shaped by a difficult childhood, has to look after Anne, her adopted daughter, who is now going through a family integration process similar to the one María herself lived through as a child. That parallel between the two stories turns their shared journey into a healing reflection on the essence of being human, life, death and the passing of time.

Directed by Marta Viña, the 2026 film screens in its original Spanish version and runs for 75 minutes.
