The Fifty-Fifty Jazz and Poetry Festival in Avilés presents 'Eastwood by Eastwood', a show by double bassist and composer Kyle Eastwood, one of the best-known names in international jazz. With a career spanning more than three decades and a dozen albums released, Eastwood has built his own path well beyond being the son of actor and director Clint Eastwood, although he has also written music for his father's films, including Mystic River, Million Dollar Baby and Letters from Iwo Jima. In 'Eastwood by Eastwood' he gives a jazz reading of some of the most iconic soundtracks from Clint Eastwood's films, with pieces from The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Gran Torino and Unforgiven, backed by a quintet featuring Andrew McCormack, Quentin Collins, Brandon Allen and Chris Higginbottom.
