Every year, San Esteban de Leces revives the spirit of Asturias's traditional country fairs with this celebration dedicated to Nuestra Señora del Rosario, organised by the La Almadera residents' association. The day kicks off in the morning with a horse fair: anyone arriving on horseback gets a free tasting and first drink, as long as they give 48 hours' notice.

From 1pm there's a tasting of traditional Asturian dishes — borona preñada, tortillas, empanadas, tortos with picadillo and apple tart — free for association members and members' children under 13, and 10 € without drinks for everyone else. The afternoon wraps up with popular brisca and parchís tournaments, with prizes for the top three in each.
