"El abismo" is a monologue written by Italian playwright Davide Enia from what he saw and heard in Lampedusa during the Mediterranean migration crisis. Jorge de Juan performs it solo, directed by Clara Sanchis and De Juan himself, with music by Mario Alemany.

It takes place on Friday 16 October at 8 pm in the Sala Club of the Centro Niemeyer (Avilés), as part of EscenAvilés. Tickets cost 20 euros and are sold at the box offices of the Casa de Cultura and the Centro Niemeyer.
