El chigre menguante

"El Chigre Menguante", by theatre company Saltantes Teatro, written and directed by Maxi Rodríguez based on his book "¿Cómo ye lo nuestro?", comes to Teatro José León Delestal. The play looks at Asturian character and way of life from the return of democracy to the present, seen through the lens of a chigre (a traditional Asturian tavern), with five characters representing recognisable types from Asturian folklore. Recommended for ages 16 and up, running around 80 minutes, it's one of the most celebrated Asturian theatre productions of recent years.
