On Friday, 7 August, Poniente beach becomes the big night-time stage of Gijón's Semana Grande with a concert by Echo & the Bunnymen, the Liverpool band that has shaped alternative rock and post-punk since 1978 with atmospheric guitars and poetic lyrics. We invite you to enjoy a free open-air gig by the sea, reliving the songs that defined 1980s British music.
