As part of the theatre programme for the San Mateo festivities, Paloma San Basilio stars in «Dulcinea», a one-woman show with live piano music by Julio Awad. The singer and actress gives voice to Don Quixote's ideal woman, a figure built from clichés and daydreams of the famous knight-errant, telling her own story from an angle the chivalric novels never captured.

Written and directed by Juan Carlos Rubio, the 80-minute show blends humour, irony and moments of complete honesty.
