Concierto benéfico de TunaEspaña en el Teatro Jovellanos

📍 Teatro Jovellanos, Gijón · View on map

The Teatro Jovellanos hosts the benefit concert of TunaEspaña's XXXII Juntamento, the annual gathering that brings together more than 250 members of Spanish and Latin American university tuna groups in Gijón. The proceeds go to Fundación DAF, an organisation that has worked since 2004 to improve living conditions in developing countries.

During their stay in the city, the participating tunas parade through the streets, sing beneath the balcony of the town hall and receive the Beca de TunaEspaña award, as well as visiting Laboral Ciudad de la Cultura. The concert at the Jovellanos is the musical highlight of a weekend in which tambourines, bandurrias and guitars fill much of central Gijón.
