The Río Caudal, in Mieres' catch-and-release sport fishing reserve, hosts the second and closing day of the 2Rivers Cup International Fishing Championship on Sunday 27 September, organised by Mieres Council's Sports Department. Following Saturday's opening round, this year's championship wraps up on one of Asturias' prime trout-fishing stretches.

Entry is free and the event is part of Mieres' sporting calendar. A good opportunity to head down to the Caudal in Mieres and watch this catch-and-release fishing format, geared towards conservation.
