Paseo de Begoña hosts a free concert by Mas Qué Mal on 24 August at 8pm, as part of Gijón's Arte en la Calle programme. It's a rock band with guitars, bass, drums and Asturian bagpipe, a combination that gives its live shows a distinctive sound. Their set mixes original songs with covers of classics like AC/DC, Ilegales, ZZ Top and the Rolling Stones. It's a free open-air event right in the centre of Gijón, great for enjoying a rock show with an Asturian accent on a summer evening, no ticket needed.
