Carmen Ordiz, known as La Faraona Asturiana, is a Gijón-born singer with decades of performances across Asturias and the rest of Spain. Having moved through many styles over her career, she now focuses her repertoire on copla and ranchera, genres she performs with well-known stage presence. She already played last year at "Arte en la Calle", the free live music series on Paseo de Begoña, where she won the prize for best non-professional performance — a strong calling card for anyone catching her live this summer.
