Arte en el Barrio's flamenco cycle closes this year's edition with guitarist Mercedes Luján at the El Llano civic centre. Born in Lorca (Murcia) in 1987 into a family of artists, she trained with her grandfather, maestro Palmita, and draws on the Morón, Melchor and Jerez schools. The first woman guitarist to win the SGAE's Paco de Lucía composition award and a 2022 Grammy nominee, she released her album 'Origen & Revolución' in 2025, following a career dedicated to championing women's place in flamenco guitar. Free entry until the venue is full.
