Gijón hosts a new edition of Agropec, the Feria del Campo y de las Industrias Agrícolas, Ganaderas, Forestales y Pesqueras, marking its 40th year. It takes place at the Luis Adaro fairground, with more than 800 animals from 55 farms: hens, pigeons, rabbits, horses, ponies, sheep, pigs and goats.

This edition won't include the usual dairy and beef cattle competitions, including the Concurso Internacional de Raza Frisona, as precautionary measures against lumpy skin disease remain in place. After the Feria Internacional de Muestras de Asturias (FIDMA), Agropec is Gijón's most successful trade fair: last year's edition drew a record of nearly 80,000 visitors.
